  • What is Citi 0% Easy Pay Plan (0% EPP)?

    Citi 0% Easy Pay Plan (0% EPP) is an instalment plan which allows you to pay for your purchase by monthly instalments with no interest charged to your monthly instalment on its statement month
    e.g.
    You make a purchase of RM1,200 under 6-months 0% EPP.
    The 0% EPP monthly instalment charged to your Card account shall be as below.

  • If I have outstanding balance in my account, will I still enjoy 0% interest for my 0% EPP monthly instalment?

    Yes, you will still be able to enjoy 0% interest for your monthly instalment on its statement month. However, if you do not settle your monthly instalment in full, you will be liable for finance charges on the said monthly instalment from next statement month. Please refer to illustration below.     Scenario 1
    (Customer with no Cash Advance on Credit Card)
    You have an outstanding balance of RM2000 (i.e. not tax, cash advance and instalment balances). You took a 0% EPP with monthly instalment of RM1000. Before payment due for month 1, you make payment of RM800. Your RM800 payment will be used to pay your 0% EPP Month 1 Instalment, and the balance of the said monthly instalment will be subject to finance charges in month 2.

    Scenario 2
    (Customer with Cash Advance on Credit Card)
    You have an outstanding balance of RM2000 which is inclusive of RM500 cash advance. You took a 0% EPP with monthly instalment of RM1000. Before payment due for month 1, you make a payment of RM800. Your RM800 payment will be used to pay the RM500 cash advance, follows by your 0% EPP Month 1 Instalment. The balance of the said monthly instalment will be subject to finance charges in month 2.

  • Which Citi Card is eligible for 0% EPP?

    All Citi credit cards except Citi Business Signature Card, Citi Travel Account, CitiBusiness Gold Card (Business Underwriting) that in good standing are eligible for 0% EPP.

  • What is the available instalment period/tenure?

    The available instalment period/tenure is 6 months up to 24months. However, the option of the instalment period/tenure varies from each 0% EPP merchant and you are advised to check with the 0% EPP merchant prior to your purchase.

  • What is the minimum purchase amount to be eligible for 0% EPP?

    The minimum purchase amount for 0% EPP is RM500.

  • What is 0% EPP monthly instalment?

    The 0% EPP monthly instalment is computed as your purchase divided by the instalment period that you had selected. You are obligated to fully pay the 0% EPP monthly instalment that billed to you on monthly basis until the end of the 0% EPP instalment period.
    e.g.
    You make a purchase of RM1,200 under 6-months 0% EPP.
    The 0% EPP monthly instalment will be RM200.

  • Can I cancel/ terminate the 0% EPP before the instalment period ends? If yes, is there any cancellation fee?

    Yes, you may cancel/ terminate your 0% EPP before the instalment period ends and there will be no cancellation fee charged to your account. However, please kindly note that in this event, the total unbilled principal of the 0% EPP, will be immediately charged to your account which you are obligated to pay in full before the due date.

  • How do I know whether merchant is offering 0% EPP?

    For merchant that offer 0% EPP, the relevant collateral shall make available at merchant outlet. Alternatively, you may check with the merchant for the 0% EPP payment option.

  • Is this 0% EPP subject to bank's approval? What will happen if the 0% EPP is not approve?

    Yes, Citi 0% EPP is subject to bank's approval. If it is not approved, the full purchase/ transaction amount will be charged to your Card account, in which Finance Charges as defined in Citi Credit Card Terms and Conditions will continue to apply.

  • When and how will I know if my 0% EPP has been approved?

    Citi will take approximately three (3) to five (5) Business Days from your purchase date subject to EPP Merchant settle the purchase on the day itself. We will notify via SMS or any communication method deem fit, on the approval status. Alternatively, you log on to Citibank Online or via Citi Mobile App to check the approval status.

  • Can I change the 0% EPP instalment period after the purchase?

    No, you cannot change the 0% EPP instalment period once you have made the purchase.

  • Can I change the 0% EPP monthly instalment amount after the purchase?

    No, you cannot change the 0% EPP monthly instalment amount as the installment amount is calculated based on the instalment period that you have selected during the purchase.

  • Can 0% EPP earn Rewards (points, cashback, or premier miles)?

    Yes, 0% EPP will earn Rewards in which the Rewards will be divided equally over the instalment period and credited to your Card account with the applicable 0% EPP monthly instalment. You are advised to refer terms and conditions here for more information.
